Data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan showed a rise in tourist income in the Kingdom to $ 1.717 billion during the first quarter of this year 2025, achieving 8.9%growth compared to the same period in 2024. According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), this growth came driven by increasing tourism income of Asian nationalities by 27.9%, and from American nationalities by 13.6%, and from Jordanian expatriates by 7.4%, in addition to an increase of 6.3% of Arab tourists, while income from European nationalities recorded a slight decrease by 0.6%. Despite this general growth, March recorded a decrease in tourist income by 8.4% to 433.3 million dollars. In return, spending on foreign tourism increased by 15% during the first quarter of this year, to reach 490.6 million dollars, Compared to $ 426.5 million in the same period last year.
