President Shawkat Mirdayev, the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan, received today, Ahmed bin Salman Al -Muslim, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and a number of heads of Gulf legislative councils, the President of the Egyptian Parliament and the President of the Arab Parliament, on the occasion of the 150th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union, in the city of Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of the role of the legislative and parliamentary councils in supporting the existing relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, praising the keenness of Gulf parliaments to support the efforts of the parliaments of the countries of the world, to advance the common interests between countries, and their contribution to the success of the Union’s International Parliament.
