Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, head of customs, chaired the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the thirteenth meeting of the Executive Council of the Customs Union, which was held in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the meeting was briefed on the lectures and reports of the committees, technical work teams and project report according to the strategic plan, while the developments of the decisions of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee and the decisions of the Executive Council of the Customs Union were discussed, in addition to following up the operational works of the customs union and the authority’s budget project for 2026.
At the end of the meeting, the Customs Union Authority issued a number of recommendations represented in the adoption of the authority’s budget for the two years 2025-2026, and the customs union body was directed to quickly implement the decisions of the Executive Council in order to complete the requirements of the Gulf Customs Union, and to increase communication with the competent authorities and partner in the Gulf Customs Union to cover all procedural aspects in this regard, in addition to directing the competent committees to review customs procedures in the shadow of The federation has its full image.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the new headquarters of the Customs Union were opened in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and Excellencies and Excellency the Customs heads.
