Dr. Essam Farhat, President of Minya University, today received at his office, St. Basil, Bishop of the Coptic Catholics in Minya, accompanied by a delegation from the Archdiocese of the Catholic Catholics, to congratulate the blessed Eid Al -Fitr.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Essam Farhat welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing the importance of the human values that the heavenly religions bear, which enhance the national cohesion and establish pride in the Egyptian identity.
He also stressed the role of the university in supporting cultural and societal activities that enhance the concepts of citizenship, and spread the values of tolerance and peace among students.
The President of the University pointed out that the university administration is keen to cooperate with religious and community institutions in various enlightening and cultural initiatives, noting the importance of events that contribute to raising societal awareness and rejecting violence and extremism.
For his part, St. Basilius expressed his appreciation to the University of Minya and its pioneering role in spreading knowledge and community service, praising her efforts in supporting initiatives that enhance the spirit of brotherhood and tolerance.
The Archdiocese delegation praised the participation of university leaders, the president of the Student Union and Vice -President of the Federation to the Archdiocese headquarters, to congratulate last Christmas in order to spread the culture of peaceful coexistence between students and consolidate this culture among them.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed its aspiration for more cooperation and partnerships with the university, in a way that contributes to the service of society and support sustainable development projects.
The meeting concluded with the exchange of congratulations between the university president and the delegation of the Coptic Catholic Archdiocese, expressing their wishes for stability and safety for Egypt and its people, in light of the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi.
During his visits to congratulate Eid Al -Fitr, Bishop Passelius was accompanied by the blessed Eid Al -Fitr
