Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al -Azhar University, said during his speech at the Fifth International Conference of the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Cairo, under the title “Building human in light of contemporary challenges”, that building a person as a body and spirit is the basis on which divine laws were based, noting that this conference comes as a complement to the march of the scientific college that held its fourth conference in such days last year entitled “moral and legislative principles in times of international conflicts.”
He explained that the science councils in Al -Azhar are not hoped, citing the saying of Hebron bin Ahmed Al -Farahidi: “Welcome to a visitor who is not hoped.” Stressing that these councils target everyone from the teaching assistant to the dean, to enhance scientific thinking and produce knowledge, as the careful reading of scientific books opens new horizons and sends ideas that become the nucleus of innovative scientific works.
Dr. Salama Dawood pointed out that the College of Sharia and Law in Cairo is the mother of the colleges of Sharia and Law at Al -Azhar University, and it has the preference of the lead and leadership as a germination of scholars, jurists, judges and the muftis, recalling its flags from those present at the conference today, such as the Honorable Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Rahman Al -Dawini, Undersecretary of Al -Azhar and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Dr. Nasr Farid Wasel, the former Egyptian Mufti, Dr. Shawky Allam, And many of the flags of this college in the past and modern. He emphasized that the selected elite of the faculty members of the colleges of Sharia in our murdered university are the diligence and renewal, while preserving the principles of religion and true law, away from any deviation that threatens intellectual and societal security, stressing that Al -Azhar is able to face any intellectual anomaly, as it has been a corner that has a corner in preserving originality and contemporary.

He pointed out that the heavenly laws were concerned with building a person as a body and spirit, a building and meaning, and there is nothing that benefits it except that it is commanded, and there is nothing to harm it except for its forbidding it, and as we are strengthened by the immunity of the body with vaccinations, fortifications and vaccines, so we have to strengthen the immunity of the soul with the merits of the laws, morals. And he called for raising a person on these values since his youth, citing the poet’s saying: “And whoever has disciplined him in the boy * as the promises watering the water in his place … until you see it as a light that is a long time.”
The President of Al -Azhar University stressed that Islam urges a balance between the body and the soul, and the believer should give everyone his right to the body and the soul, so he does not oppress his body for the sake of his soul, and does not oppress his soul for the sake of his body, but rather weighs between them with the straight stretching; This is what the Apostle urged us ﷺ in his saying: “Your Lord has a right to you, and for your embodiment to you, and your family is really upon you, so give all the truth to you You are tired of serving it .. You are in the soul, not a human being, ”considering that it is the body of the body, because a person is a person himself and his body together, and that the body’s care is necessary for the stability of the soul, citing the saying:“ The mind is the most effective in the body of the peace. ” And I love God from the weak believer, and in every good.
The President of the University indicated that the Holy Qur’an was in particular about the human being, as it was mentioned alone in 56 places, starting with the Almighty saying:﴿ And man was created as weak [النساء:28]And ending with his saying:﴿ The man is in a loss [العصر:2]And it was reported in the form of the plural “people” 172 times, starting with his saying:﴿ And among the people who say that we believe in God [البقرة:8]And ending with his saying:﴿ From Heaven and People [الناس:6]. He emphasized that the allocation of the surahs of “man” and “people” reflects the care of God in man as an individual and a group, especially at the conclusion of the Qur’an at the surah of the people, which calls for seeking refuge in the Lord of the people from the evil of obsessive punches:﴿ Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the people * the king of people * the God of the people * from the evil Successful in the breasts of people * from paradise and people ﴾ [الناس:1-6]Stressing that these evils have no shelter except to God.
He added that the conclusion of each of the six verses in this surah with the word “people” reflects great care in man. Is there more attention than that the word “people” is the conclusion of the six verses that the Holy Qur’an concluded? He pointed out that the surah calls for seeking refuge in God Almighty from the evil of Paradise and people, stressing that these evils have no refuge except to the Lord of the people, the king of people, the God of people, because the evil of people and their harm may reach an end that only their Lord, their king and their god will pay. And with the majority of His Majesty, we seek refuge, and to him we resort to the weakness, murder and displacement of the Islamic world, and with it, most of its majesty, we seek refuge in the killing and comprehensive destruction of Gaza.
Dr. Salama Dawood warned that Islam preserved the construction of man by preserving the five colleges, which is the preservation of the soul, religion, reason, presentation and money, and the science of Sharia in its purposes has preserved these five colleges, and in it deep studies, the beholder sees the greatness of this law and the great services provided by its sciences. At a time when the contemporary reality testifies that the western civilization, the more scientific progress, the more morally decreased, one of the great countries was interested in building its great wall that the invaders did not climb, so when the invaders despaired of climbing the great wall they pushed a bribe to some of the guards of the wall, so they entered the cities without the need to climb the wall; Because this great state is the daughter of the fence and did not build the man on which he was based.
At the end of his speech, the President of Al -Azhar University urged the College of Sharia and Law in Cairo and its sisters at Al -Azhar University to establish a fatwa and advisory program, and to establish courses in jurisprudence for new colleges that the university begins in its next academic year, including a jurisprudential course that serves the College of Artificial Intelligence, a second course that serves the College of Archeology and Islamic Heritage, and a third course that serves the College of Veterinary Medicine; These discreet courses are considered one of the distinctive features of Al -Azhar University, which combines jurisprudence and modern disciplines.
