Amna bint Ahmed Al -Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said that the financing of “facilitation+” comes within the framework of the ministry’s plan and the Housing Bank to expand the financing options and housing solutions provided to citizens, as it provides many new advantages for citizens who wish to obtain an immediate financing service to obtain housing, and the maximum amount of financing provided by the new option reaches 91 thousand dinars, indicating that the citizens can The value of their monthly income ranges from 600 to 1200 dinars to take advantage of this financing option to obtain housing, and the value of the financing will be calculated based on the value of the monthly income for the beneficiary from the date of submitting the application.
On the financing purposes of the program, the minister explained that the program provides the possibility of purchasing a unit, apartment or residential voucher, in addition to providing the option to buy and build a voucher, useful that the diversity of the program’s purposes comes within the framework of continuing to diversify options for citizens to obtain the housing service that suits their needs, which is the same policy used in all other financing options provided by the ministry.
With regard to the mechanism of the work of the “Facilitation +” program, the minister stated that the citizen’s procedures begin to submit a request to benefit from the program through the electronic service designated for that in the National Gate Bahrain.bh, and then the citizen communicates with one of the banks participating in the program to start the procedures for benefiting from the financing, which in turn will provide the citizen with the details of the financing plan and payment mechanisms.
The minister explained that the mechanism for paying the value of housing financing in all funded banks is divided into two options that the citizen selects the most appropriate for it, and based on the value of the calculated installment plan, where the first track, which is the maximum value of the financing, indicates 81 thousand to the start of deduction of only 20% of the beneficiary income for a period From the date of the start of the deduction, until the completion of the payment of the installments completely for a period of 30 years, noting that the value of the deduction rates will be calculated on the value of the salary at the time of submitting the application, and not by updating the value of the salary.
Her Excellency added that the second track, which is the maximum financing, is 91 thousand similar to the first track, with different rates of deduction of the monthly installments, as the deduction rate for installments for the first five years begins at 25%, to rise to 30% after 5 years, and ends at 35% after 10 years and until the rest of the installments are paid for 30 years, reaffirming that the choice of one of the two tracks is due to the citizen’s desire, and the citizens will be provided Complete to pay the monthly installments from the beginning of the benefit of the service and until the rest of the installments are paid before the funding amounts were disbursed to the citizens.
The Minister indicated that the banks participating in financing the “Facilitation +” program are the National Bank of Bahrain, Bahrain and Kuwait, Al Salam Bank, Bahrain Islamic Bank, Gulf Bank, and Al Baraka Bank, in addition to the United National Bank, noting that the participating banks will provide citizens with financing sums, while the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning will pay government support as provider of the funded bank, in addition to paying the value of the difference between the value of the actual installment Financing and between the value made by the citizen as government support on a monthly basis.
Her Excellency confirmed that the housing and urban planning will provide, in cooperation with the Housing Bank, ways of support for citizens to benefit from the new financing option, similar to other available financing options, as the financing calculator will be provided through the national portal Bahrain.bh to identify the value of financing and the value of payment, as well as providing the financing consulting service from the available distance through the website of the ministry www.housing.gov.bh, and other auxiliary communication properties.
The Minister noted that the financing of “facilitation +” is a qualitative addition to the package of financing options provided by the Ministry to obtain immediate financing to obtain housing, noting that the development and creation of housing programs in partnership with the private sector comes within the framework of continuous efforts to provide innovative and immediate solutions to obtain housing.
