The first team, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, this morning, an inspection tour, which included the facilities and workshops of the Transport Administration responsible for the Department of the Ministry of Interior, the work of repairing and maintenance of vehicles, during which he was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Interior, the head of the Public Security, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and the Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs.
The Minister of the Interior was briefed on the efforts made to meet the needs and the requirements of security work, in a manner that guarantees security and public safety and to meet the needs of all the Ministry’s departments of vehicles, mechanisms and equipment necessary for work, directed to reshape the organizational structure of the transportation department, in line with the size and nature of the work.
During the tour, the minister listened to a briefing that included following up the maintenance matters of vehicles, mechanisms and equipment to ensure the availability of security and safety conditions, as he praised the capabilities of the new maintenance unit, which doubled the absorptive kindness to repair mechanisms.
The brief explained that the transportation department is currently working on obtaining the ISO 45001-2001 certificate for quality in the occupational health and safety management system.
The Minister of the Interior stressed the need to continue to implement advanced work systems using modern technologies, in a manner that guarantees the efficiency and speed of achievement in providing security services, noting the continued development of performance and the use of modern methods in management and good use of resources.
He expressed thanks and appreciation to all employees of the Transport Department for their role and sincere efforts, wishing everyone success in serving the country.
