In the opening session, the Minister of the Interior delivered a speech in which he confirmed that the subject of the workshop “establishing justice and enforcement of law is new horizons for the promotion of human rights”, comes from the firm approach and the enlightened wise vision, to the presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, noting what this issue receives from the advocacy follow -up by the government headed by His Royal Highness Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him.
He pointed to the importance of the issue and its connection closely with the strategy of the Ministry of Interior, which has devoted the rule of law behavior among its employees, and surrounded the respect of human rights with a approach of guarantees to preserve it, and even doubled its human rights projects that reflected a commitment to the spirit of humanitarian law and in the interest of achieving justice and affirming human rights in form and content, heading at the same time towards the future by building strategies that accompany challenges, and from that, including that Expanding the use of artificial intelligence applications to combat crime and providing highly efficient security services.
He explained that the advanced level achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of law and respect for human rights, is proud and proud, and this leads us to renew the determination to improve the human rights system and adhere to law enforcement, while emphasizing that the responsibility of the application is not limited to the state and its institutions, but also extends to society and its children.
He said, “When talking about human rights in Bahrain, the starting point is the extent of the great concern that His Majesty, the great king, may God protect and preserve him over the cohesion and protection of societal interdependence through His Majesty preferred to issue the ceremonies of the High Pardon, noting that since His Majesty assumed the reins of government, the number of beneficiaries of the Royal High Pardon reached more than 14,000 condemned and this is followed by the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister in this regard, where the Ministry of Interior has taken place The Ministry of Labor in coordination to register those covered by the Royal Pardon and the beneficiaries of alternative penalties within the beneficiaries of the disruption of job seekers and seek to register them in the training courses that contribute to their rehabilitation to engage in the labor market.
The Minister of the Interior added that it is one of the most humanitarian words that were mentioned in the speeches of His Majesty the King, the provision of a decent life, and this was reflected in the generous His Majesty’s approach to his loyal people in securing housing, health, and security, for example, and during the years of the silver jubilee of His Majesty the King, 8 residential cities were established and more than 97 thousand housing services were provided.
He stressed that the Ministry of Interior has gone a long way within the framework of the development and modernization strategy, which has not stopped one day, as it worked to enhance the legal and police frameworks that support in the first place, preserving the security of the homeland and starting from the principle of the rule of law and respecting human rights, pointing to the integration of these projects with the initiatives on which the national human rights plan is based to embody in their entirety a safe reality that is prevalent in justice and respect for human rights.
At the end of his speech, the Minister of the Interior expressed his thanks for the attendees and the participants in the workshop, praising their efforts and continuing to perform their national duties and responsibilities, so that Bahrain remains a pioneering model in its legislation and the procedures that are applied towards achieving a balance between human rights and the application of justice in the context of the human reformist approach led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect him And his sponsors.
The workshop was attended by a number of senior officials and representatives of the ministries and concerned authorities, members of the National Human Rights Committee, and was managed by Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al -Sayed, Head of the Human Rights Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It also dealt with the second working session entitled: (UN efforts to promote human rights), in which the Ambassador d. Youssef Abdel Karim Bojiri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Hatem Ali, Director of the United Nations Office on Narcotics and Crime in the Cooperation Council countries.
In the third working session, entitled: (The condolences of local efforts in promoting human rights), Professor Dana Khamis Al -Zayani, Undersecretary of the Courts and Family Car -General and Al -Taffa at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the President of the Public Prosecution, Professor Nasser Al -Shaib, representative of the Public Prosecution and Counselor Ali Al -Binali from the Legislative and Legal Opinion Authority, and Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Al -Fadala, Director of the Social Welfare Department at the Ministry of Social Development.
He spoke in the fourth working session entitled: (The mechanisms of national recession and its role in promoting transparency), Mrs. Ghada Hamid Habib, Secretary -General of Grievances, Professor Muhammad Khaled Al -Hazaa, Head of the Special Investigation Unit, and Dr. Muhammad Ali Al -Khuzai, member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Shura Council, and Dr. Mal Allah Al -Hammadi, Chairman of the Committee for visiting places of detention and facilities at the National Human Rights Corporation, and Chancellor Mohamed Jumaa Fazia.
