In the presence of Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for diplomatic studies, the academy today held the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the international diplomats program “Hospitality”, which is organized annually with the aim of enhancing diplomatic cooperation and cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sister and friendly countries.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of happiness with the ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and representatives of the program partners from the public and private sectors.
In a speech to him, the Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated him on the occasion, Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, on the success of the International Diplomatic Program (Host) in its fifth edition, wishing the Academy and those in charge of the program the success of success.
The Foreign Minister expressed his pride and appreciation for the participation of a number of diplomats from various brotherly and friendly countries and their acquaintance with the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its cultural heritage, its developmental renaissance, values and established principles in the Kingdom that emphasize the importance of coexistence, tolerance and respect for others, noting that the tasks and responsibilities assigned to any diplomat are the contribution to making peace, security, prosperity and stability.
In her speech during the ceremony, Dr. Sheikha Munira Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Academy, expressed her thanks and appreciation for the unlimited support that the academy’s programs have received by His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressing that this support had a great impact on the success of the previous copies of the program.
She pointed out that the “hospitality” program is an international platform that brings together diplomats from different continents of the world, which contributes to expanding the horizons of cooperation and sustainable partnership between diplomatic academies and foreign ministries in the participating countries.
For their part, the participating diplomats expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the good hosting and the distinguished organization of the program, stressing that this experience will contribute greatly to developing their skills and enhancing their understanding of Bahraini culture, which will reflect positively on their diplomatic career.
The program included this year a mixture of academic and practical sessions, where diplomats participated in workshops, lectures and discussion sessions, in addition to exploratory field visits to tourist and archaeological monuments in the Kingdom, which gave them the opportunity to identify the features of the development, civilizational and cultural renaissance in Bahrain.
It is noteworthy that the “hospitality” program was launched in 2018 as one of the winning projects in the government innovation competition “Idea”, and since then, the program has hosted a number of diplomats from different countries of the world, which reflects the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance dialogue and understanding between cultures.
