Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, Minister of Education, received Marie Tadros, the first director of development and recognition of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), and Dr. Kawthar Saad Eddin, director of development and recognition of the organization, in the context of the visit they are making to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss the details of the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Project (IB) in public schools under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education welcomed the delegation of the organization, and discussed the steps to start applying the project experimentally during the coming period in a selection of preparatory and secondary schools.
The Minister praised the organization’s cooperation with the Ministry in implementing this qualitative project, as the Kingdom of Bahrain is the first Gulf country to work to implement this project in its governmental schools, by making it available to obtain this certificate with global recognition, which the graduate obtains after obtaining an advanced academic preparation for the university stage, focusing on languages, sciences, mathematics, arts, socials and other important aspects, while developing personal, social and creative skills, And the employment of the strategy to link the curricula to each other and the realistic positions.
For her part, Marie Tadros, Director of Development and recognition of the International Baccalaureate Organization, expressed her happiness in cooperation between the organization and the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the development of the educational system in the Kingdom, and looking to start implementing the first phase of the project during the coming period
