Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, approved a decision to grant program academic accreditation for a period of five years for 94 academic programs in various disciplines in 9 high governmental and private education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, after completing all the criteria approved by the Council in connection with programmatic accreditation.
Based on the decision, the program academic accreditation was granted to 33 academic programs at the University of Bahrain (27 Bachelor’s programs and 6 Master programs), 6 packages of undergraduate programs at Bahrain Technical College “Politokink Bahrain”, 15 academic programs at the National University (10 Bachelor’s programs, 4 master programs and doctoral program), and 14 academic programs at the University of Applied Sciences (9 programs Bachelor of Bachelor and 5 Master programs), 9 academic programs at the Royal University of Girls (8 Bachelor’s programs and Master Program), 6 academic programs at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (Bachelor’s degree Program and 4 Master programs), 5 Bachelor’s programs at the University of the Kingdom, 4 Bachelor’s programs at the Gulf University, and two academic programs at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Bahrain Medical University (Bachelor’s Program and Master’s Program).
In this regard, the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, affirmed that granting the program academic accreditation comes as a result of the complementary and coordination efforts between the General Secretariat of the Higher Education Council and the Education Quality and Training Authority and the Academic Accreditation Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council. Pointing out that the council will continue to fulfill all higher education institutions requirements to obtain program academic accreditation in a way that enhances their competitive opportunities.
