D. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Communications and Communications, at the Ministry’s headquarters, Asma Shalaby, a residing representative of the United Nations Development Program in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation and strategic partnership with the United Nations and its specialized agencies, especially in the areas of transportation, transportation and digital transformation, in order to support its development aspirations in light of Bahrain’s economic vision and sustainable development goals 2030.
The two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation and exchange of experiences in promoting technological innovation and digital infrastructure, enabling national competencies, and supporting joint programs, projects and initiatives, in line with the framework of the strategic partnership of sustainable development signed with the United Nations agencies for the period (2025-2029).
For its part, the residing representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for his interest in enhancing cooperation and partnership with the United Nations, and supporting the sustainable development goals, especially in the transportation, transportation and communications sectors, wishing the Kingdom and its people the continued progress and prosperity.
