His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, praised the close bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of Cyprus, which is witnessing continuous development and growth in many areas.
This came during the reception of His Majesty this day at the Safariya Palace, His Excellency Dr. Constantinos Combos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom, where he conveyed to His Majesty the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency President Nikos Christodolides, President of the Republic of Cyprus and his good wishes to the Kingdom and its people more progress and advancement.
His Majesty welcomed the Cypriot Foreign Minister, and informed him of conveying his greetings and sincere wishes to His Excellency the Cypriot President and his friendly people with the time of growth and prosperity.
His Majesty also reviewed with the guest minister ways to support and develop good friendship relations, and to enhance cooperation aspects in various important aspects, especially economic, commercial and investment, noting, may God preserve and sponsor him with such visits that reflect mutual concern to develop joint work and aspiration to wider horizons from bilateral cooperation in a way that serves common interests.
The meeting also touched on a number of issues and current developments in common concern at the regional and global levels.
For his part, His Excellency the Cypriot Foreign Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty’s presence for the generosity of hospitality and good reception and the keenness and interest he attaches to documenting the strong historical relations between the two countries and upgrading their level of cooperation at all levels
