Today, Thursday, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir believed the decision to separate about a thousand reserve soldiers from the service, after they signed a message calling for the end of the Gaza war.

Zamir stressed that the signing of the soldiers on the petition is considered dangerous, noting that the recruits in the military bases cannot sign messages against the war and then return to service.

970 soldiers currently and former air force deployed a message calling for the return of all Israeli detainees from Gaza, even if at the expense of ending the war that has been going on for more than a year and a half.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, the message sparked a storm at the upper levels of the Israeli Air Force.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz strongly rejected the message of the reserve personnel, considering that it is an attempt to touch the legitimacy of the war, which he described as “just”, he said.

The channel reported that among the signers on the message, the former commander of the Army, the team (reserves) Dan Helbsz, the former commander of the Air Force, Major General (Reserve) Nimrod Chevir, and the former head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Colonel (retired) Neri Yarkkni.

The message topped all the Israeli media, including the Broadcasting Authority, at a time when Israel continues, with American support, to launch a mass extermination war on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
