The Economic Court ruled that the journalist Hani Azab was acquitted of the charges of publishing false news, slander, violation of the sanctity of private life, inconvenience, defamation, and abuse of communication means, held by singer Sherine Abdel Wahab.

For his part, lawyer Fahd Marzouq said that he had acquired the ruling on innocence in favor of his journalist client Hani Azab a few days ago in several cases against him.
Earlier, journalist Hani Azab, through his lawyer Fahd Marzouq, filed a complaint with the council Top Media Against the presenter Amira Badr, her program Asrar, and Al -Nahar channel, due to the false and naked statements about the health issued by one of the actresses of the program’s guests, against him.

Azab said, in a statement, that the episode witnessed unacceptable professional abuses against the journalist, and speaking in an inappropriate manner that is completely away from the media and professional codes and the press charter, and other criteria that must be adhered to, whether from the broadcaster or the channel, and exceed the ethics of the profession that requires not to overcome the journalist’s right or allow one of the guests of the program to talk about it with false information that the law is held accountable for, and that is in the course of two episodes.
