Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, continued the position of the proposals in the energy sector, in a meeting held today, in the presence of Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Eng. Hassan Al -Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Naha Khalil, Executive Director of Egypt Sovereign Fund.

The Prime Minister stressed that this meeting, which focuses on the position of proposals in the energy sector, comes in light of the interest in the periodic follow -up of the steps of implementing the government proposals program, within the framework of implementing the state’s royal policy document, in a way that contributes to achieving the state’s targets in empowering the private sector and enhancing its role in the national economy through its further participation in implementing projects in the targeted sectors.
Counselor Mohamed Al -Homsani, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting witnessed the review of the results of the paths of cooperation and coordination in the joint work files between the ministries of electricity and renewable energy, investment and foreign trade, and the sovereign Egypt Fund, with regard to the steps for determining promising investment opportunities in the energy sector; And to promote it effectively, in an effort to attract more investments, especially in the fields of new and renewable energy, in a framework of working to maximize the benefit of the great ingredients that this sector enjoys in Egypt.
The spokesperson pointed out that the meeting also dealt with the executive position of the proposals regarding the energy sector, including the projects from which the state will be exited, in preparation for its presentation to partnership with the private sector, especially in the field of new and renewable energy that is receiving global attention.
