Despite his children as blind, the musician Ammar Al -Sharia did not see the world with his eyes, but he heard him with his heart, read it with his ears, and translated it with melodies that became part of the memory of the country, and on April 16 of each year, the birthday of those who taught us that music does not need two eyes but rather a spirit that sees more.
The beginning is from Minya .. and the end is in every home
Ammar Ali Muhammad Ibrahim Al -Sharia was born in the city of Samalout, Minya Governorate in 1948, and from the first moment he faced the challenge of vision loss, but he did not see his disability, but rather a motivation to discover himself and his talents, learning to play the accordion small, and instead of playing, he was made from his games.
From law to melodies
He could have been an employee in any institution, or an English translator, but he chose a different path: the art of art was seriously studied, and he began his journey to compose in 1975, to make his own music school, no less important than Al -Sanbati and Baligh Hamdi schools.
The pioneer of soundtracks and series sequences
When you hear the introduction to Raafat Al -Hajan or the nights of dreams, or witness and tears, you are in front of an unforgettable signature, Ammar Al -Sharia was the engineer of feelings in the drama of the eighties and the nineties, he excelled in linking the melody and the scene, and creating a musical identity for the Egyptian series that did not exist before.
Friends .. a former technical project for his era
In 1980, the Friends Squad, and bet on new voices such as Mona Abdel -Ghani, Hanan and Alaa Abdel -Khaleq, wanted to make a different generation of singers, not only dependent on sound, but on the idea and the message. He had what he wanted, as the band became a distinctive sign of the youth song at the time.
Voice of the mind on the radio waves
Al -Shariai was not satisfied with music, but was also an intellectual and an accomplished musician, his program was diver in a sea, the melody broadcast by Radio Middle East, revealed a musical mind that analyzes and explains without complication, and presents music as part of the daily culture of the citizen.
Honors after leaving
Despite his departure in December 2012, prizes and honors still remind us of him, he received the State Prize for Excellence in Arts, and his biography was honored in more than one festival and an institution, but the most important remains: that his music honors him daily, whenever it starts from radio, screen or memory.
