His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the ministerial meeting to implement the two -state solution and permanent peace in the Middle East, which was held today in the Turkish city of Antalya at the invitation of the Turkish government.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic, and in the presence of foreign ministers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Indonesia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representatives of the People’s Republic Spain, the Republic of Slovenia, the European Union, the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States and the Secretary -General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During the meeting, the continuous efforts made by the participating countries were discussed to enhance the two -state solution to settle the Palestinian issue a fair and sustainable settlement in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, and to continue the endeavors to mobilize support in order to push the peace process in the Middle East, in addition to discussing recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, and efforts aimed at the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Bassam Ahmed Marzouq, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Turkish Republic, participated in the meeting.
