The Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel -Ati and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan discussed, on Saturday, the situation in the Gaza Strip and a number of issues in the region.

In a telephone conversation, the two sides touched on “efforts to return to the ceasefire agreement and ensure the implementation of its three stages, in a manner that ensures the release of hostages and prisoners and the entry of humanitarian, medical and shelter aid to Gaza, despite the dangerous Israeli escalation in the Strip and the West Bank and Israel’s insistence on using brute military force against civilians and preventing the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.”

The communication also witnessed an exchange of visions for developments in Sudan and the efforts aimed at supporting Sudan, as Minister Abdel Ati stressed Egypt’s support for Sudanese national institutions and its efforts to restore stability and peace, expressing Egypt’s position calling for respect for the sovereignty, unity and safety of Sudan.

The two sides also dealt with developments in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, and ways to achieve security and stability in Somalia and preserve the unity and integrity of its lands.
