Cairo 24 learned that a number of personalities joined the committee formed by the Council of Ministers to discuss the challenges and future of the Egyptian media and drama in implementation of the direct guidance of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, to form a committee that includes specialists, working on a strategic level in this file.
Form the drama committee
The sources said that it was decided to include Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Chairman of the Arts Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities
Dr. Jihan Yousry, Dean of the Faculty of Information at Cairo University, was also included in the formation of the committee.
A few days ago, the committee held its first meeting and it was emphasized that the preparation of an integrated phased plan to implement it during the next ten years, to activate the role of the media and drama in reformulating the Egyptian character.
The committee is a report of the results of its work and recommendations and the proposed implementation mechanisms within two months of this time, which the Minister of Culture will be presented to the Prime Minister, in preparation for the presentation to His Excellency the President of the Republic.
During the meeting, members of the committee presented a number of visions and proposals regarding their role in this important committee, which will contribute, in coordination between the relevant authorities, to formulating the media message, as well as Egyptian drama in the manner that achieves the desired goals, especially in light of the distinguished cadres that Egypt possesses in those areas.
They also stressed that they will discuss the challenges facing Egyptian media and drama, and ways to confront them, reviewing examples of these challenges, stressing the need to pay attention to the film and drama industry, and create models in Egyptian drama representing a role model for new generations, while investing Egyptian drama as well in promoting Egyptian tourism.
