The family of Tunisian politician Fouad Al -Mutazakh, who held the position of temporary president in Tunisia after the revolution and the fall of the late President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in 2011, announced his death, today, Wednesday, at the age of 91.
Al -Muddar is the most prominent man of the state in the rule of the late presidents, Habib Bourguiba, and after him Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, he was a member of the ruling party, and he held several political positions.
In particular, he took over the presidency of Parliament from 1997 until the fall of the regime after a popular uprising.
He assumed the position of temporary president by virtue of the constitution after Ben Ali left his post, until the first democratic elections were held in October 2011 to hand over power after that to the fair President Al -Marzouki after his election by the representatives of the National Constituent Assembly, who drafted a new parliament for Tunisia in 2014.
