After this victory, Santos ranked twelfth in the Brazilian league table with 4 points, after achieving a single victory and two losses and a draw in the competition.
The curse of injuries is stubborn
The Brazilian star was necessary since his return to his mother club Santos, coming from Al Hilal Saudi Club, with whom the 33 -year -old player suffered a serious knee injury during a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay in October 2023, and faced difficulty in restoring his full fitness.
Things became much worse when Neymar came out of his team’s match against Atletico Mineiro, in the 34th minute while holding his left thigh, so that the technical staff decided to replace him to leave the Brazilian crying on a stretcher and he seemed to be very frustrated as a result of his new setback.

Neymar had participated for 45 minutes in the loss of his team 1-0 against Fluminness last Sunday, then in a match on Wednesday evening, only 33 minutes before he was forced to go out again due to the pain in the same area where he was injured.
It is worth noting that Neymar’s participation against Atletico Mineiro in the league was the 100th match with his club Santos, where he contributed to leading the team to win in 61 games, in addition to scoring 64 goals.
