Our first national beach volleyball team is conducting its local preparations to participate in the Asian tour that will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, from April 30 to May 3, 2025 and the West Asian Championship, which will be held immediately from 5 to May 11, led by national coach Mohamed El -Sheikh.
A member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the Beach Council, Sadiq Al -Zimour, said that the final list includes four players, who are Ali Marhoun and Hassan Nasser Al -Mamjan, in the Gulf’s bronze recently in Muscat and both Jaafar Al -Jishi and Ali Abdul Wahid, where the team has been training for some time on the sandy stadiums of the federation.
Al -Zimour looked at this participation to be crowned with technical benefit and the achievement of advanced positive results despite the strength of the competing teams, stressing the keenness of the federation headed by Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad Al Khalifa to support the beach volleyball to enhance Bahraini presence in various external entitlements.
The championship competitions will be held on the beach Al -Gharafa stadiums with the participation of Australia (3 teams), Japan (3 teams), Thailand (3 teams), Iran (two teams), Saudi Arabia (two teams), Amman (two teams), Uzbekistan (two teams), New Zealand (team), Qatar (team) and finally Bahrain (two teams) ..
This tour is one of the qualifying rounds to the World Championship and its results are calculated within the international classification.
