The President of the Arab Gulf University, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahid, stressed the importance of discussing advanced treatments for obesity diseases in modern medical conferences in light of the increasing global rates in a way that makes it a real threat to public health, explaining the importance of adopting scientific and innovative methods in treating obesity, with a focus on awareness and early preventive practices.
The President of the University pointed out that with the approaching conference of the Arab Gulf University conference, which is held under the slogan “Addressing the obesity epidemic: visions for a more healthy future” next May in the presence of the team, the doctor of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, the senior doctors and consultants will meet to discuss the global challenges related to obesity epidemic, and they will review the latest scientific developments and practical solutions to enhance weight management and prevent obesity, especially in light of increasing Obesity rates globally.
Dr. Al Fahid indicated that such specialized medical conferences are opportunities to exchange experiences and knowledge between doctors and specialists in this field, considering that enhancing cooperation between doctors and researchers to develop new treatment strategies, while emphasizing the importance of continuing to spread awareness about the seriousness of obesity and methods of prevention, with the aim of improving the quality of life and limiting the spread of related diseases are participatory steps that must be necessary in order to enhance the understanding of the mechanism of obesity effect on the body.
This, and the conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the latest scientific treatments and research related to this disease, pointing out that obesity is no longer just a simple cosmetic or health problem, but rather leads to many chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and high blood pressure, in addition to its psychological and social effects on individuals.
