Professor Ghadeer Sayed Ahmed Ali, an English language teacher at the Nuwaidrat Primary School for Girls, initiated a digital library through the platform (PADLET), which includes audio clips of educational chants in this language, covering all fourth grade lessons, as well as including explanations of the grammatical rules contained in the curriculum.
The teacher said that she activates the benefit from this library by attaching QR symbols in the weekly bulletin for each lesson, allowing the student to listen to his song, which contributes to the consolidation of linguistic concepts in a fun and smooth way, while urging parents to record videos of their daughters while they repeat the songs at home, to display them in the classroom, with the aim of developing self -confidence, and enhancing their linguistic skills.
She explained that the use of educational chants is one of the most successful means to attract children to learn the language, because it provides a fun educational environment that facilitates the preservation of the terminology and grammatical rules.
She pointed out that her dependence on chants came to meet the various learning patterns of female students, as the hearing student interacts with rhythm, visual with motor performance, and sensory through participation in performance, which contributes to raising the level of understanding and assimilation.
The initiative was widely interacted by parents, and a special praise by the Parents Council to the teacher, in appreciation of its role in teaching the English in an innovative and comprehensive way.
This comes within the fruitful bids of national cadres in public schools, under the supervision and support of the Ministry of Education.
