A group of Spanish pilgrims, led by Abdullah Hernandez, Manche, began an exceptional pilgrimage from Andalusia in Spain to Makkah Al -Mukarramah on the back of authentic Arab horses, in September 2024.

The journey takes about 8 months, covering a distance of approximately 8,000 km, with the aim of reviving the traditional pilgrimage methods that Muslims used to take in the Andalusian era.

The group, consisting of four individuals, accompanied by Moroccan and Mauritanian, arrived in the Syrian territories through the Bab Al -Salama crossing in Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo in April 2025, as part of the trip path.

The pilgrims received great support from the Muslim societies that they went through, as they provided them with supplies and residence, which reflects the spirit of Islamic solidarity.

The journey is characterized by logistical and physical challenges, as it requires pre -training and patience to withstand long distances and various conditions.

The goal is not only to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, but to revive the Andalusian heritage and enhance cultural ties between Muslims.

The journey remembers the importance of patience and faith in the face of challenges, and is a deep spiritual experience before reaching Mecca to perform the rituals.
