The competent investigation authorities in Sohag decided to imprison the accused, “Ahmed K.”, a student at the Faculty of Commerce, for 4 days pending investigations, accusing him of assaulting another student on the campus with a white weapon, and his injury in his left arm, which necessitated the conduct of 29 stitches to treat him, against the backdrop of video shooting through the “Tek Tok” application.
The prosecution also decided to release the victim after the investigations conducted with him ended.

The injured student was transferred to the new Sohag University Hospital, and he suffers from severe bleeding in the left arm, and the necessary aid was provided to him.
The concerned authorities moved to the site of the accident, and it was found that the student, Hassan, a student at the Faculty of Arts, at the hands of “Ahmed. K.”, a student at the Faculty of Commerce, using a white weapon, due to a dispute between them while filming a video on “Tek Tok”.
A report of the incident was released, and the two parties were arrested in preparation for the presentation to the investigation authorities, which ordered the detention of the accused pending the case.
In a later development, Sohag University issued an official statement in response to the video circulating on Facebook, regarding the incident that occurred between the two students on the new campus.
The media center at the university explained that the fact of the incident is due to a verbal argument that broke out between the two students, during which the two parties exchanged insults and slander, against the background of one of them appearing in the clip “Tech Talk” filmed by the other student, and this caused a dispute between them that ended with the injury of one of them.
The statement added that the university’s administrative security made an internal investigation and presented a detailed memorandum of the incident and its circumstances.
The university administration confirmed that it is in the process of taking strict legal measures and imposing deterrent penalties, stressing that the campus has its sanctity, and everyone must enjoy security and safety.
