It ranked 20th in the world and the third in the Gulf
In a new achievement for the civil aviation sector in Bahrain, the Sky Trax Company included Bahrain International Airport in the list of the 20 best airports in the world for the year 2025 and the third in the Gulf after Hamad International and Dubai airports. Bahrain International Airport also won many awards in various categories, at the International Airports Awards ceremony organized by the company at the Performance Station Exhibition in the Spanish capital Madrid.
The “Sky Trax”, the company specialized in classifying airlines and airports based in the United Kingdom, gave Bahrain International Airport the “Airport Cleaner in the World” award within the category of airports that deal with less than 25 million passengers annually, beating a number of the most prominent international airports in this classification, in addition to the award for best employees in airports.
Bahrain Airport also won the award for the best airports according to the number of passengers of 5 to 10 million passengers, the best airport hotels, the best airport award in the Middle East, and the second rank as the best airport employees in the region.
The airport ranked second as the most suitable airport for families in the world by 2025, and the third place as the best immigration service, as the “Sky Trax” evaluation confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the best countries in the field of security inspection of airports worldwide this year. Bahrain Airport also ranked third in the world and the first in the Arab and Gulf as the best airports in the world to connect luggage for 2025.
While Changi Airport in Singapore won the first place as the best airport in the world for the year 2025, and this is the 13th time in the history of the awards at the airport, and won the award for the best restaurant at a global airport, and the best airport in Asia. Hamad International Airport ranked second in the world and the first in the Gulf, after which Dubai Airport achieved the 11th and second place in the Gulf, and the 20th Bahrain Airport in the world, an increase of two degrees over 2024, and the third in the Gulf level.
This international appreciation is the culmination of the ongoing efforts made by Bahrain in the field of developing the infrastructure of the aviation sector, and upgrading the standards of service, hygiene and operational efficiency, enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a promising regional center in the field of air transport.
This achievement represents a qualitative addition to the Bahrain registry in international competitiveness, and reflects the success of the modernization and development projects witnessed by Bahrain International Airport during the past years, including the new travelers building, and the advanced digital services provided to travelers.
