The Drinking Water and Sewerage Company in North and South Sinai has announced that the degree of maximum readiness to meet the expected weather fluctuations, which includes dirt storms and rain, to ensure the continuity of drinking water and sanitation services without being affected.
Major General Khaled Aziz, President of the Drinking Water and Sewerage Company in Sinai, confirmed the formation of a central emergency room to coordinate with the operating rooms in the governorates of North and South Sinai, and to follow up complaints on the hotline 125 and the official company page, and to deal immediately with any reports related to the water interruption or quality.
He explained that the company’s emergency teams are fully prepared, and that the readiness of electric generators was emphasized to operate the stations if the current is interrupted, in addition to the continued work of the company’s laboratories to withdraw and analyze water samples from stations and networks, and adhere to the periodic laundry plan.
In a related context, Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sewerage, directed to raise the degree of maximum readiness in all water and sanitation companies affiliated at the level of the Republic in preparation for the weather and in anticipation of expected weather fluctuations.

Raslan stressed the readiness of operating and maintenance teams, emergency equipment, control centers and operating rooms, to ensure rapid and immediate dealing with any developments that may occur on networks or stations during that period.
He stressed the importance of continuous coordination between the subsidiaries and the crisis rooms in the governorates, and the intensification of field traffic on vital sites to ensure the regularity of the work, and the continued provision of the service with high efficiency without interruption, noting that the holding company is following around the clock the meteorological reports and field developments, and works to take all pre -emptive measures to maintain the sustainability of providing services.
