Karima Mohamed Al -Abbasi, Secretary -General of the Shura Council, participated in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the General Secretaries Association for Arab Parliaments, which was held today, Sunday, as part of the meetings accompanying the 150th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union, held in the capital “Tashkent” in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Karima Muhammad Al -Abbasi, Secretary -General of the Shura Council, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and support and follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, supports joint Arab parliamentary work, and cooperation between parliaments in the Arab countries, to achieve common interests.
The Secretary -General of the Shura Council indicated that the directives of Ali bin Saleh Al -Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, confirm the continued strengthening of joint cooperation with public secretariats in the Arab Legislative Councils, the exchange of experiences and successful experiences for ideal benefit for sustainable development in the administrative apparatus of the Legislative Council, the importance of exchanging visits and seeing qualitative parliamentary initiatives and programs.
This, and the Executive Committee discussed at the meeting the latest developments regarding the association’s articles of association, and preparing for the next eleventh annual meeting, with the determination of the main topic of the annual meeting, as well as reviewing the proposed amendments to the internal regulations to suit the amendments that were made to the association’s articles of association.
