In a surprise that inflamed the enthusiasm of the audience, director Sean Levy announced that the star Ryan Gosling would join officially to the world of Star Wars, where he will star in a completely new movie entitled Starfighter, which is scheduled to be released in the global theaters on May 28, 2027.

The announcement came during the activities of the Star Wars Celebration held in Tokyo, where Levy said to the audience, I heard a rumor that Ryan Gosling would be the hero of my new movie, and believe me, this was my dream. Today, I am happy to confirm that this rumor is completely correct.
Ryan Gosling climbed to the stage amid a hot applause, confirming his great enthusiasm to participate in this dreamer project. The star expressed his deep love for the world of Star Wars since his childhood, as he cute a bed of bed sheets carrying the famous series drawings when he was five years old, and his mother still kept her until today.
As for the details of the film, Levy explained that Starfighter is not part of a previous series and is not a continuation of any work, but rather a completely independent story that revolves in a new era after the events of Skyoker.
This work is the next step for director Sean Levy after his great success in Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, and confirmed that the film is in the pre -production stage, and filming will start next fall, in preparation for its release in 2027.
Gosling described the scenario as full of emotion, adventure and unique characters, adding: There is no better way out than Sean Levy to lead this trip.
