The House of Representatives acknowledged the proposal for a “urgency” desire to impose customs duties by (10%) on imports from the United States of America, running on the principle of reciprocity in the framework allowed by the free trade agreement between the two countries in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (23) of 2005 to ratify them. Representative Ahmed Al -Salloum opposed the proposal, stressing that imposing any import fees will be paid by citizens in the end, and the first deputy of the Speaker of the House of Representatives commented Abdul Nabi Salman, saying: “All countries of the world have imposed a counter -tax on imports from America, so what is the difference between us and them.”
