Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population organized the scientific day of the Nasser Institute for Research and Treatment in cooperation with Al -Nas Hospital, to discuss the latest methods of treatment and surgeries, liver transplantation, and diseases of the digestive system, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, stressed, during a registered speech, to provide all aspects of support for the initiative to donate organs, and its next conference under the slogan “Cairo invitation to life: bridging hearts, extending across the continents”, in conjunction with the continuous efforts of the state to raise the standards of the health care system, where this initiative leads organizers with great vision and experiences in this field, guided by the constant commitment to the scientific method in each step.

Enhancing the organ donation system

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that this initiative represents a transformative moment in the Egyptian state’s journey, towards strengthening the organ donation system, as it includes the establishment of this initiative in all Egyptian universities and many major hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, pointing to the support of national and international personalities in the field of organ transplantation for this initiative, and their work collectively to push them forward in steady steps.

The minister pointed out that the initiative aims to support the Egyptian state’s efforts to enhance access to the results of organ donation and plant them in line with the highest international organizational and scientific standards, to help the Egyptian state’s efforts in providing all aspects of support to the countries of Africa and the Middle East in this field, in addition to organizing many educational events and activities in the field of organ transplantation, and enhancing scientific research in the field of organ donation.

He added that the initiative also aims to build strong and constructive relations with associations, and international societies in the field of organ transplantation, in a manner befitting Egypt’s prestigious position, as it contributes to spreading awareness about organ donation, giving values, correcting misconceptions and beliefs, and encouraging pre -emptive health measures, indicating that the initiative includes awareness campaigns that are implemented in 3 stages, the first stage targets medical colleges, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine, including medicine Human, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, nursing, science and physical therapy, in addition to the major hospitals of the Ministry of Health, and the second stage includes expansion of non -medical colleges in universities, and the third stage also guarantees access to the entire Egyptian society.

The Deputy Prime Minister revealed the international conference to be held next October, which will be an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the framework of national work in this field, as it is considered a platform for communication with international experts, and brings together the world’s leading scientists in this field, as it is a golden opportunity to present Egypt’s experiences to the world, and exchange global views in this field, and the conference also brings together the elite of prominent figures from all over the world, which enhances our African and regional role.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the continuation of the efforts made to organize and donate the organ transplant system, and ensure his work at the highest levels of fairness, transparency and organization, stressing the raising of the level of the health care system in Egypt to the highest international standards.
