Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, mourned Pope Francis, stressing that the world lost a man who devoted his life to the service of humanity, and was a sincere voice for peace and justice in all forums.

Pope Tawadros said, during a telephone interview with the media, Samar Al -Zuhairi, on the “Extra News” channel, that Pope Francis, despite his sitting in the chair of the city of Rome for 12 years, but those years carried a lot of work, activity and service, explaining that he visited during that period many countries.
Pope Tawadros II stressed that he left everywhere a living example of the open heart towards every human being, without discrimination or discrimination, explaining that Pope Francis has always been a voice of peace in the face of all crises and conflicts around the world, whether that continues to this day or that people have previously passed.
Pope Tawadros II indicated that he always stood beside the oppressed, tired and marginalized man, and was keen to be a support of the forgotten man amid the crowd of this world.

Meanwhile, Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, praised the good relations that brought together the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church during the era of Pope Francis, stressing that it was based on respect and trust, dominated by the spirit of meekness and humility.
Pope Tawadros, in an intervention with the media Samar Al -Zuhairi on the “Extra News” channel, indicated that Pope Francis visited Egypt in 2017, as he met President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, describing the visit as “very blessed”, explaining that he visited Pope Francis twice, the first in 2013, and the second in 2023, which coincided with the celebration of the fifty years since the start of the good relations between the two Knesset Catholic and Coptic Orthodox
At the end of his speech, Pope Tawadros affirmed that the departure of Pope Francis is a great loss for the whole world, stressing that his life was a true example of sincere service and giving from the heart for every human being, noting that the Coptic Church extends condolences to all the children of the Catholic Church and its peoples around the world, expressing his appreciation for the great human heritage that Pope Francis left in the service of man wherever he is.
