Pakistani Information Minister Atallah Tarar confirmed that his country is fully prepared to conduct a neutral and independent investigation regarding the attack in the Bahajam area in Kashmir, which India tried to hold Pakistan responsibility without providing any concrete evidence. Tarar said in a television interview on the “Center Stage” program that India had created the accident of the incident to achieve internal political goals.
He added that the location of the attack is about 500 km from the Pakistani border, making the accusation of Pakistan an illogical matter. He stressed that his country is keen to reveal the truth through a transparent achievement that includes all concerned parties, calling on the international community to support this trend to ensure justice.
Indian intelligence failure and an attempt to manipulate public opinion
The minister described the incident as a catastrophic intelligence failure of the Indian authorities, noting that India is seeking to exploit the incident to hide its security failures in front of its people. He stressed that India used to fabricate similar scenarios to justify its internal and external policies, considering that the propaganda campaign launched against Pakistan this time failed to the world.
He pointed out that the high voice inside the Indian, and the criticism directed at the government there, proves that the attempt to implicate Pakistan did not even convince the Indian public opinion itself.
Warning against the suspension of the Sind River agreement
In a related context, Tarar warned that Pakistan would not stand idle if India tries to suspend the work of the Sind River water, stressing that this agreement cannot be ended or disabled unilaterally, as it is an international treaty binding legally.
He explained that Pakistan maintains all options to respond to any Indian transgressions, including the military option if it is necessary to protect its water rights. He stressed that the Pakistani Prime Minister has clearly made it clear that his country would respond strongly to any attempt to prejudice its sovereign rights.
Emphasizing national unity and the full support of the army
The minister touched on the importance of national cohesion in this sensitive stage, stressing that the Pakistani people in all its spectrum stands one row behind their armed forces in defending the homeland. He said: “We are united as one nation, and we are not divided into groups,” expressing his confidence in Pakistan’s ability to confront any threat or political extortion by India.
He stressed that the internal unity represents the true shield to confront any external aggression or attempts to destabilize the country.
India is involved in terrorism internationally
Speaking of India’s record of supporting terrorism, Tarar stressed that Pakistan has compelling evidence of New Delhi’s involvement in carrying out terrorist operations inside and outside Pakistani territory. He cited the arrest of the Indian spy, Kulpochan Yadaf, who was seized involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan.
He also pointed to India’s involvement in terrorist incidents in other countries, such as Canada, where the Canadian authorities provided clear evidence of Indian agents’ involvement in the assassination of citizens of the Sikh community. He added that India is always seeking to present itself as a victim on the international scene, while in secret, hostile activities threaten global peace and security.
An invitation to the international community
At the end of his speech, the Minister of Information called on the international community to take a clear and firm position towards the Indian policies that threaten the stability of the entire region. He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to adhere to the option of peace, but it is ready to defend its interests by all legitimate means if it is forced.
