From this standpoint, the University of Bahrain celebrated the International Day of Heritage, which falls on April 18 of each year, by holding a symposium organized by the Cultural and Social Committee at the Faculty of Literature, under the title “Muhammad bin Faris: the pioneer of the art of Bahraini voice.”

The symposium shed light on a mark in the heritage of Bahraini art, which is the late Mohammed bin Faris, the pioneer of the Bahraini voice, with the participation of the brightest stars of the art of the contemporary Bahraini song, the able artist Ibrahim Habib, and the most prominent academics and researchers interested in the Bahraini artistic heritage field specifically, and the Gulf in general, in the field of audio and lyric art, who talked about the exceptional innovative leadership of Muhammad bin Faris, and his path This era controls, in addition to the symbolic participation of the “Muhammad bin Faris” band, by performing paintings for the mourners of the Bahraini art of Faris.

The artist Ibrahim Habib expressed his welcome to this event, looking forward to more for such a symposium in the initiative of the University of Bahrain in highlighting the archive of audio and music art in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through the pioneer of the art of Bahraini voice, Mohammed bin Faris, and the artist Ibrahim Habib enriched the symposium with an intervention based on artistic foundations, which constituted a documentation of the landmarks of Fares, Bahraini voice, Mohammed bin Faris.

In his intervention, the artist Ibrahim Habib inferred in several citizens to lead this mark in establishing the Bahraini Voice Art School, his contributions to the work of “Al -Koulei” and “The Shipping”, and the determination of the names of the voices, and its cessation to the voice of Hijazi, the voice of Yamani, and the voice of my manufacture The region, and his travel to countries abroad, to learn about artistic experiences in different cultures and exchange experience.

Dr. Essam Al -Jowder presented a presentation of his research in the march of the artist Mohamed bin Faris under the title “From passion to achieving the goal”, in which the most prominent stations that made the artist’s destination, during which he showed the qualifications and characteristics that Faris enjoyed the artistic voice, from a passion for art that he needed from his childhood, and enabled him to learn to sing at an early age, and from determination and determination to confront socially It does not look at the artist with respect, as the challenge was greater, considering his family affiliation.

Dr. Al -Jowder also dealt with the dimensions of Ibn Faris’s interest in poetic texts and their selection and the establishment of a special pattern in the relationship between the melody and the poetic text, and the phenomenon of adapting it to a certain compassion for different poems, in addition to its distinction with the improvised style of dealing with the rhythmic nature, in which it is not able to keep it with it, for example, the violinist Sami Al -Shawa His overall experiences in the context of his cooperation with the artists coming to his school style, and expatriates such as Abdul Rahim Saleh Al -Asiri, who came to Bahrain to benefit from Bin Faris.

Al -Jowder praised other contributions to Muhammad bin Faris, which was represented in the inclusion of the law of the law, as it was not used in the beginning except the oud, in addition to employing the tidal letters, with different times, as a way to reinforce the meaning, and deepen the melody, in addition to that he identified the art of “the dress”, which is part of the special tradition Al -Arabi, because of the simple rhythms of this art that broadcasts joy and pleasure on happy occasions.

This symposium, which was held by the University of Bahrain, is not just a celebration, but rather a consolidation of the cultural heritage and artistic identity, and the rooting of the citizenship, and highlighting academic works concerned with Bahraini heritage, in the art of sound and artistic schools, and a contribution to promoting Bahrain’s position, as a creative and incubator of authentic art inherited from a generation, and inspired by other cultures.
