Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, met Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and his accompanying delegation, during their suspension at Sharm El -Sheikh International Airport on their way to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, to participate in the 150th session of the General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union, scheduled to be held from 5 to 9 April.

The Egyptian delegation includes 15 members headed by Dr. Hanafi Jabali, where this session will witness meetings and discussions between parliamentarians from different countries of the world, with the aim of enhancing international parliamentary cooperation and exchanging experiences on priority global issues.
During the meeting, Dr. Hanafi Jabali expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of South Sinai for the warm reception and hospitality, pointing to the repeated international praises received by tourist destinations in South Sinai, as it is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world.
He stressed that the governorate succeeded in strengthening its position on the global map, especially after hosting many major international conferences that reflected its superior ability to organize global events efficiently and professionally.
For his part, the Governor of South Sinai pointed out the importance of Egyptian participation in this prominent international event, praising the active role of the Egyptian parliament, led by Dr. Hanafi Jabali, in light of the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, to enhance Egypt’s presence on the international parliamentary scene.
He added that Egypt’s participation in this session reflects its political position and its ability to influence the global decision -making, pointing to the pivotal role that the House of Representatives plays in supporting sustainable development and international cooperation issues.
The governor also stressed the great interest that the South Sinai Governorate attaches to enhancing tourism and developing the local economy, explaining that the governorate has become a global destination for tourism thanks to its charming nature and advanced infrastructure, which made it reap widely praises from international organizations and bodies specialized in the tourism sector.
In this context, the governor also pointed out that all cities of South Sinai Governorate are ready to host various international conferences and events, stressing that Sharm El -Sheikh, along with other tourist cities in the governorate, provides all the capabilities and infrastructure necessary to host major events.
He added that these preparations come within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which aims to enhance Egypt’s position on the global map as a major center for international events and conferences.
