Dr. Manal Awad received, Minister of Local DevelopmentToday, Thursday, from Dr. Saeed Helmy, Head of the Ministry of Strategic Management and Local Development Sector in the Ministry, on the efforts of the governorates to address the encroachments on agricultural lands by building during the Eid Al -Fitr period.
Minister of Local Development: Monitoring 517 infringements on agricultural lands … and removing 500 violations during the Eid Al -Fitr holiday
The report of the Ministry of Local Development indicated that coordination was made with the governorates during the days of Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to monitor any cases of infringement of agricultural lands by building and removing them in the cradle.
This comes within the framework of implementing the assignments of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, by resolving attempts to attempts to infringe on agricultural lands, state property and violating construction during the period of the blessed Eid Al -Fitr holiday.
The Minister of Local Development explained that cases of infringement on agricultural lands were monitored and removed immediately, as 517 cases of encroachment on agricultural lands were monitored by 19 governorates, Cairo – Giza – Qaliubiya – Alexandria – Menoufia – Western – Beheira – Kafr El -Sheikh – Eastern – Port Said – Dakahlia – Damietta – Fayoum – Beni Suef – Minya – Assiut – Sohag – Qena – Luxor – With a total area of 7 carats -23 acres.
Also, the immediate removal of 500 cases of infringement of construction was also a total area of 15 shares -18 karat -22 acres. Coordination is underway with the security authorities to remove the rest of the encroachments in Gharbia Governorate with 10 cases of infringement and Sohag Governorate with 2 cases of encroachment, and Qaliubiya Governorate number 3, Alexandria Governorate, 1 cases of infringement, Minya Governorate, 1 cases of infringement with a total area of 9 shares -12 karat.
The Minister of Local Development praised the efforts of the executive bodies in the governorates for her efforts to confront with all the packages of encroachments on agricultural lands and the violating construction during the period of the blessed Eid Al -Fitr holiday.
Manal Awad stressed the importance of continuing the daily follow -up of the violating construction file and encroachments on agricultural lands and state property and taking the necessary legal measures towards violators and removing the cradle of any encroachments.
