Within the celebration of the Ministry of Culture in the great writer Naguib Mahfouz, under the title of Mahfouz in the heart, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, the Minister of Culture, the General Authority for Culture Palaces headed by Major General Khaled Al -Labban, and under the supervision of the writer Mohamed Nassef, Vice -President of the Authority, is a series of cultural and artistic activities in Minya.
Minya culture organizes activities to commemorate Naguib Mahfouz
The activities are held free of charge to the pioneers within the plan of the central administration of the region of the middle of the cultural Upper Egypt under the supervision of Gamal Abdel Nasser, Director General of the region, through the Minya Culture Branch headed by Rehab Tawfiq.
The Dermawas Culture House of the Martyr Amr Secondary School Girls organized a seminar entitled Naguib Mahfouz in the face of extremism, in the presence of Dr. Al -Hassan Mohamed, directed by education, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ghafour, a teacher of an Arab roll, Hamada Abdel Rahman, director of the Culture House.
Hamada Abdel Rahman talked about the biography of the great writer, followed by a speech by Dr. Al -Hassan, speaking about the impact of the environment in which the international writer grew up on his intellectual and literary composition in addition to the social and political changes that accompanied the 1919 revolution.
He also dealt with the prizes he received, especially the Nobel Prize in 1988, and talked about the literary production of Naguib Mahfouz and the factors that affected his literary composition.
