The journalist writer Issam Shaltout, Cairo 24, confirmed that the Al -Ahly club’s departure from the African Champions League, against Sun Downs, represents a major crisis that is responsible for coach Marcel Kuller, noting that the club management was very late in taking the decision to change the technical staff.
Shaltout: Al -Ahly is thanking Koller in the coming days
Shaltout said, during a telephone interview with the media Karima Awad, on the Cairo Hadith program, that Al -Ahly is thanking Kuller during the coming days, with a farewell arrangement appropriate to what he gave to the team during his period, but he stressed at the same time that Koler’s continuation has become not possible because of his causes in the loss of Al -Ahly on the stadium.
He added that the decision of change will not include the goalkeeper coach, because it is not calculated on the technical staff of Caller, stressing that the cancellation of Al -Ahly’s training today, and the absence of Kuller from him, reflects the state of anxiety inside the Red Castle, noting that Koler contributed to the decline in Al -Ahly’s image due to the long vacation periods he obtained, which affected the team’s discipline and technical performance.
He revealed that the Al -Ahly administration seeks to negotiate with several names to take over the technical leadership, explaining that Carlos Kirosh, the former team coach, was one of the options offered, but he asked for an opportunity before making his decision due to his greatest experience with the national teams, noting that Al -Ahly entered into negotiations with the French Patrice Carteron, the former coach of Zamalek, to be a substitute for Caller, and the agreement was almost complete before making the final decision.
Issam Shaltout noted that the problem is not only in the loss of a championship or a season without titles, but in prejudice to the prestige of Al -Ahly, which is not overlooked.
