Khaled bin Hamad honors the winners of His Highness Handball Championship for high schools

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the final match of the Khaled bin Hamad Handball Championship for Secondary Schools for the academic year 2025/2024, which brought together the Ahmed Al -Omran Secondary School for Boys and the Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Institute of Technology, in the Khalifa Sports City Hall.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa won the Ahmed Al-Omran Secondary School for Boys, the title of the championship and medals first place, after winning a score of (46-38) at the expense of the Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Institute School team, which ranked second, while the Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifiya Secondary School for Boys ranked third.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the great success witnessed by the championship, embodied what everyone aspires to support school sport, and create a competitive environment that contributes to refining students’ skills.

His Highness added, “The championship has demonstrated the promising energies of our schools in the handball game, which calls us to continue to adopt such initiatives that are in the interest of Bahraini sport in the long run … as these competitions presented prominent talents that showed the ability of students to provide a high competitive performance, which confirms that there is a fertile base that can be built in the future to form strong teams representing the Kingdom in regional forums And international “

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed his support for the efforts of the Ministry of Education in developing school sport, as it is the nucleus of the national teams, by continuing to organize the tournaments and events that open the way for students to express their sporting abilities and talents and thanked all those who contributed to the success of this distinguished sporting event.

In his speech on this occasion, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, Minister of Education, for his great thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his patronage of this championship, appreciating his great support for the efforts to develop school sport, within the endeavors to upgrade Bahraini sport in general, in light of the high care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, and with the support and continuous follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince.

The Minister of Education praised the distinguished efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports along with His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in sponsoring and supporting various sports competitions, including school championships as the basic nerve to supply clubs, federations and national teams with prominent talents in various games.

The Minister of Education explained that this version of the championship witnessed the participation of 256 players representing 16 government schools, expressing the ministry’s pride in its cooperation with the General Authority for Sports and the rest of the sports institutions in the field of school sport, and thanks to the companies sponsoring this tournament.

The championship was widely supported by the private sector, as the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait provided its support for the championship as a Platini sponsor, while the Preem Motor, Bahrain Cinema Company (Senico), GMA, and Royal Bahrain Hospital, and Platinum Care participated in: Marwa Water Company, the (The Art) Hotel, the National Transport Company and Liberal Sports.
