The Ministry of Health and Population has given a number of advice to maintain the health of citizens, in conjunction with the meteorological warnings of the bad weather and dirt storms taking place in the country this week.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stressed the citizens most vulnerable to health problems, such as chest allergy patients, who suffer from shortness of breath or problems in the airways, to avoid leaving the house in light of dirt storms, except in cases of necessity with covering the nose and wearing heavy clothes, and taking medications on their dates according to the doctor’s guidance.
Abdel Ghaffar added that covering the nose is a necessity while leaving the homes in the presence of the dirt storm, in order to avoid the entry of dust into the airways, as well as the need to sit in well -ventilated places, and to stay away from crowded places, to avoid feeling suffocating.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out the need to drink quantities of water to improve blood flow to the lungs, while taking care to eat foods that raise immunity, such as foods rich in vitamin C and E, and to eat more vegetables and fruits, in addition to the need to pay attention to the use of moisturizing creams to prevent dryness and cracks of the skin.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the windows of the houses should be closed well to prevent dust and dust from entering the rooms, paying attention to the cleanliness of the house and all the surfaces and wiping them with detergents and disinfectants, and the use of wet towels to fill the holes from which dust can enter abundantly.
