Al -Iftaa wrote through her account on the social networking site Facebook: We explore the crescent of the month of Dhu al -Qi’dah for the year 1446 AH, Monday, 29 of the month of Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 28, 2025 AD, God willing.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Dar Al -Iftaa answered a question that was received by one of the followers whose text is: What is the ruling on borrowing in order to perform the Hajj pilgrimage?
Ifta: The taxpayer does not have to borrow in order to perform the Hajj pilgrimage with the agreement of the jurists
Al -Iftaa said on its website: The taxpayer should not borrow for the Hajj with the agreement of the jurists; Imam al -Nawawi, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said in “Al -Majmooh Sharh Al -Muhadhab” (7/76, i. Dar Al -Fikr): [لا يجب عليه استقراض مالٍ يحج به، بلا خلاف] Ah.
And she continued: But there is no objection to borrowing and performing Hajj if he reassures that he will return the loan without a harmful effect on those who have to spend it, and it was reported from some of the predecessors that are forbidden to borrow for Hajj; Imam Al -Shafi’i, and Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated in “Al -Musnaf”, and Al -Bayhaqi in “Al -Sunan Al -Kubra” – and the word for him – on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Awfi, may God be pleased with him, arrested on him: that he was asked about the man who is borrowed and pilgrimage? He said: “God will be blessed, and he will not be bound.” Ibn Abd al -Barr was assigned in “The Prevention” on the authority of Sufyan al -Thawri that he said: “There is nothing wrong with the pilgrimage to a debt if he has offerings if he dies, he left loyalty, and if the man does not have anything and does not perform Hajj, I do not like it to be extracted and asks people and performs Hajj with it, so if he did or rewards himself with his part of the argument of Islam.”
