The Constitutional Court in South Korea has set next Friday to issue its ruling in the case of President Yoon Sok Yol from his post. The direct broadcast of the session is expected to be allowed, with the possibility of the public to attend, according to Yonhap. This ruling comes four months after the National Assembly’s decision to isolate President Yoon, on charges of violating the constitution during the murder of martial law last December.

President Yun is accused of trying to disrupt the work of the National Assembly and issue illegal orders, but he denied committing any violations, explaining that what he did was a warning against the abuse of power by the opposition. In the event that the court supports the isolation decision, Yoon will be isolated from his post, but if he refuses, his work will be resumed until the end of his term in May 2027.
