Secretary of the Fatwa: “Hajj in these methods is an attack and its owner is a sinner … It is not permissible to circumvent the laws of Hajj”
The Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Ifta House, during a dialogue with the media Zainab Saad El -Din, in televised statements today, Thursday, that the timing of talking about this issue is very important, especially with the entry of the registration season for the Hajj, and some “Hajj brokers” started promoting trips contrary to the regime, with the aim of exceeding high official costs, which leads to a major defect in the organization.
Amin Al -Fatwa added: We appreciate the feelings of people’s vast feelings towards the Sacred House of God, and we realize their longing for the performance of the obligatory, but Islam taught us to worship God by assignment and not with passion, just as the woman is prevented from fasting at the time of menstruation despite the severity of her desire, so also the pilgrimage is only for the one who can, and God Almighty said: And God has the pilgrimage of the house who has been able to a path.
The Secretary of the Fatwa explained that going to Hajj in illegal ways may lead to excessive crowding, stampede, and the spread of diseases, and even may lead to deaths, which is an attack on the purposes of Sharia that came to preserve the soul, stressing: Going in this way is contrary to Sharia because it causes general harm, and Islam refuses that a person a means of loss of the souls of others, even if unintentionally.
And on the ruling on the one who performs Hajj in that way, he said: There is a difference between the validity of the act and the prohibition of action .. Just as prayer in a rich garment is correct, but it is forbidden, as well as the pilgrimage in an illegal means that may fall the obligatory, but the actor is sinful because he violated the regime and the cause of harm to Muslims.
Amin Al -Fatwa continued: If a person knew in advance that this method is illegal, then he went in it, he is a sinner, but whoever repents after knowing his mistake, he must seek forgiveness, regret, and intends not to repeat this, and there is no objection to making charity or atonement for the intention of repentance, but repentance in itself is the basis.
Amin Al -Fatwa continued: We say to those who have not yet gone: Do not violate the Sharia, and be patient until God facilitates the legitimate way for you, for God is not closer to his disobedience, and the pilgrimage is a great worship, and it should not be required except with what God pleases.
