Today, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, started his visit to Assiut Governorate by inspecting the Manfalut Central Hospital after the completion of its development work.
The Prime Minister stressed that the health sector is at the top of the priorities of the government’s work agenda, noting that there is a periodic follow -up by President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, for the efforts to develop the health system at the level of the Republic, and that there is always a constant orientation of its luxury and intensifying the work to develop this system, and reaching health initiatives services for all governorates, while increasing the rates of service providing service in villages and the most needy villages, and there is great cooperation with the local and foreign private sector To provide the resources necessary to improve the health service, and to achieve financial and operational sustainability for new projects, while developing the existing and raising its efficiency; In order to advance the health system in all governorates, especially in Upper Egypt, and to raise the efficiency of hospitals, centers and health units; To improve the health of the Egyptian citizen.
The Prime Minister begins his tour by inspecting the Manfalut Central Hospital
While Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, explained that the political leadership gives the health file the maximum priority, and that the main goal of the government is to build the Egyptian person and enhance its well -being, which is what is being worked on through a health system that includes all citizens, pointing out that the volume of investments in the health sector during the past ten years is unprecedented, in line with the complete conviction of the state of the importance of investing in all sectors, and they are keen to provide Investment incentives to enter the private sector as a basic partner in the various projects implemented by the Ministry in this field.
In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development explained that the national projects in the field of health at the level of the Republic expected to be completed during the fiscal year 2024 – 2025 are 20 projects, and are implemented in 11 governorates with an estimated value of 11.7 billion pounds, with a total number of beds of 2649, pointing at the same time that projects ended during the period from 2014 – 2025 in Assiut Governorate reached 13 projects, which were implemented from During many of the concerned authorities with a total estimated value exceeding one billion pounds, reviewing a number of these projects, including the project to develop the Manfalut Central Hospital, and the establishment and development of the Al -Maharqa complex in the governorate, in addition to raising the efficiency of the Dairout Fever Hospital, and the project to raise the efficiency of the Shamiya Hamiyat Hospital, and the projects also included the development and establishment of the “Arab Al -Atawid” family development center, pointing out at the same time that there are 11 other projects being implemented in the province at a value It exceeds 3 billion pounds, including the construction of Dairout Central Hospital, the project to establish an outpatient building in Manfalut Central Hospital, the establishment of the Abnoub Central Hospital, the establishment of Sahel Selim Hospital, in addition to the development and construction of the Family Medicine Development Center in the Balaiza, and others.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar added: There are 97 health facilities in 7 health departments in Assiut Governorate, as part of the presidential initiative “a decent life” to develop the villages of the Egyptian countryside, which includes demolition and new construction on the same land, or a completely new construction, or on alternative land, or total replacement, development and expansion, or development only, and this is implemented through the competent authorities for the benefit of the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Deputy Prime Minister also touched on the projects listed in the investment plan for the fiscal year 2025-2026 in Assiut Governorate, pointing out in light of this that there are 12 projects with this plan with a total estimated value of 1.2 billion pounds, including the project of developing the Qusiya Hospital.
For his part, Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister of Health for National Projects, reviewed the health system in Assiut Governorate, indicating that in light of this, the governorate has 19 hospitals, including 2562 internal beds, 310 concentrated care families, 158 reception families, and the health system also includes 72 operating rooms, 514 dialysis machinery, 186 artificial respirators, 357 children’s nursery, and there are also 127 cars Ambulance, 64 fixed and mobile ambulance points, and 9 CT scans.
Regarding the Prime Minister’s inspection of the project of developing the Manfalut Central Hospital, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said: Manfalut Central Hospital is an integrated medical edifice that includes the latest medical equipment for the service of emergency and critical cases, and it was designed according to the highest international standards to ensure the provision of accurate and integrated health services to citizens, stressing that this hospital represents a new step in the process of developing health services provided to Manfalut citizens in particular and the centers of Assiut Governorate In general, noting that work has been enhanced by the readiness of medical facilities according to the highest standards in this field.
During his inspection of the hospital, the Prime Minister and his companions visited sections: reception, emergency, and intensive care; Where he reassured the health status of one of the women in the care room, which confirmed that she received a distinguished service in the hospital, and thanked everyone for their efforts.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly also inspected the current equipment with surgical rooms, where Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that the hospital was provided with the latest medical devices, while the Prime Minister stressed the need to pay attention to the efficiency of the human element alongside the modernization of devices; In order to provide the best health care for the Egyptian citizen, which was confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister regarding the use of qualified cadres from Assiut University.
The Prime Minister also passed the preparation room, other operating rooms, and the recovery rooms, then went to inspect the dialysis unit and the premature infants nurseries unit; Where he reassured the level of the care they receive in this unit, as well as losing patients ’residence rooms.
The Prime Minister was keen to respond to taking a group photo with the hospital cadres at the end of the tour.
