President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, yesterday, Monday, a visit to Adly Mansour Central Station for mass transportation, on the sidelines of the high -level official visit made by the French President to Egypt.
President Sisi’s dialogue with Macron
During the visit, the two presidents boarded the metro vehicles, where a friendly dialogue took place between them to negotiate the costs of implementation of one of the projects, where President Sisi said: We are friends .. there is no benefit, I will not pay .. We will see a factory that is in France or Italy ..
President Al -Sisi continued during his speech that Egypt did not get any fines for French companies due to the delays in the implementation of the project, saying: We are in all the delays.
French President Emmanuel Macron responded, saying: Fortunately, you were military … not a merchant, because of the skill of President Sisi in the process of negotiating the project.
A large number of social media users praised the negotiation of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi with the French President, and they circulated the video on a large scale.

In a related context, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic said that the two presidents inspected the station and reviewed the equipment and services that millions of Egyptians will benefit from, and they also toured the third line of the Cairo Tunnel Metro.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, the official spokesman, added that President Sisi praised the close cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of transportation of all kinds, appreciating the role of various French companies in implementing transport projects in Egypt, especially in Greater Cairo, which contributes to a qualitative shift in mass transport paths in Egypt.
The President also stressed the state’s keenness to settle the industries associated with transportation and increase the percentage of the local component in current projects, stressing the need to adhere to the schedules specified for their implementation.
The spokesperson stated that the French President, for his part, expressed his admiration for the advanced level of the transportation sector in Egypt, praising the modernization and development work witnessed by the infrastructure and means of transportation, and stressing France’s keenness to participate in future development projects.
