The Egyptian Pyramids team, under the leadership of its Croatian coach, Cronglav Porchic, succeeded in qualifying for the African Champions League semi -final, for the first time in its history.
The team’s qualification comes despite losing two goals to nothing, in the second leg, against the Moroccan Royal Army, in the African Champions League quarter -finals.
The loss of the Pyramids team against the Royal Army was not sufficient to deprive the Egyptian team of the qualification card, as it won the first leg in Cairo 4-1, and that it becomes a winner of the total of 4-3 matches, and qualifies for the semi -finals of the championship.
The royal army scored its first goal in the eighth minute, through a pass from Khaled Ait Orkhan, and reached Youssef Al -Fahli, who was deposited by the Pyramids net.
Then the Pyramids players tried to organize the ranks on the field in order not to receive a second goal, while searching for the equalizer and returning to the course of the meeting.
