Dr. Ahmed Al -Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, Dr. Sameh Al -Ashmawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Ministry, directed the immediate start of the restoration and maintenance work necessary for the old Al -Batinah building in Al -Fayoum General Hospital, after a part of the lining of the roof of the kidney department fell on the fourth floor of the building, without injuries between the patients and their families.
Evacuation of the building
The governor pointed out that the decision to completely evacuate the old building came as a precautionary measure, in order to preserve the safety of patients and their families and workers in the building from the medical staff and employees, where a number of patients were transferred to alternative departments within the Fayoum General Hospital, and the ambulance facility was also transferred to transfer a number of other patients to nearby hospitals, in order to provide full medical care for them.
Al -Ansari pointed out that Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister of Health for Project Affairs, who visited the hospital and visited the old Al -Batinah building, was made to determine the necessary restoration and maintenance work.
