The Minister of Industry and Trade Abdullah Fakhro stated during the dialogue sessions of the Bab Bahrain Forum 2025 that the level of economic cooperation between the Gulf states is still low, and did not exceed 10% compared to the levels of cooperation with other countries such as the European Union, which exceeded the 70%.
Stressing the importance of strengthening economic relations as well as developing joint strategies in the field of manufacturing and trade, instead of competing for the products themselves, which means that each country focuses on a different sector to enhance integration instead of competition.
Fakhro stressed the need to allocate each country to a specific sector to enhance integration between countries, which helps to improve supply and supply chains, saying that: There are challenges facing the Gulf states, and unity and cooperation must be confronted. It is necessary to exchange knowledge and experience between countries to achieve common benefits. ”
He explained that there are many opportunities available in neighboring countries, and the Gulf countries can benefit from them. Fakhro stressed at the end of his speech that the Bab Bahrain Forum 2025 »reflects Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation, advancing economic growth, and creating sustainable job opportunities in a sophisticated global environment, which is a reflection of Bahrain’s commitment to international cooperation, and at the same time an invitation to redefine global trade and employment strategies for a more stable, just and prosperous future.
